DENTAL EMERGENCIES

Dental emergencies require fast action.

STEP 1: BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT

Book a same-day emergency appointment online at one of our Chicago locations. You can usually book an appointment as soon as 1 hour from the time you contact us.* We offer same-day emergency dental availability to new and existing patients. Our current patients also have access to email and text updates for appointments and follow-ups.

STEP 2: INITIAL EXAM

During your 60-minute exam, a dentist will quickly identify the root cause of your dental emergency. We also create a custom dental treatment plan so you know exactly how much treatment will cost.

STEP 3: TREATMENT AND FOLLOW-UP

We often do same-day treatment for dental emergencies. If same-day treatment is not available, we'll give you a prescription or a clear plan for your pain. Our goal is to make patients comfortable right away. Dentologie dentists also offer follow-up plans, long-term treatment plans, or referrals based on your dental emergency.

*If you don’t hear back from us, email crystal@dentologie.com or call 312-846-6752. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

EMERGENCY DENTAL SERVICES

Toothache

Tooth decay, abscesses, gum disease, or a cracked tooth can cause a toothache. Dental pain can range from mild to severe. Inflamed and/or infected gum tissues causes most wisdom tooth pain. Addressing tooth pain is crucial to prevent further complications.

Broken or Chipped Tooth

Accidents or injuries can lead to chipped or broken teeth. Your teeth can crack or chip from a fall, sports-related incident, or biting down on a hard object. Emergency treatment can help prevent infections and long-term damage.

Knocked-Out Tooth

A knocked-out tooth can occur during a traumatic event, such as a sports injury or a fall. Same-day emergency dental care is crucial for a completely knocked-out tooth. Proper preservation and re-implantation within a specific time frame can increase the chances of saving the tooth.

Lost Dental Filling or Crown

Dental fillings or crowns may become loose or fall out from wear and tear, biting on hard foods, or trauma. Losing a filling or crown can expose the underlying tooth to bacteria and potential damage. Seeking emergency dental care will help prevent further complications.

Abscessed Tooth

An abscessed tooth is an infection that occurs within the tooth or in the surrounding gums. It can cause severe tooth pain, swelling, and even fever. Prompt emergency treatment is essential to eliminate the infection and prevent it from spreading to other areas of the body.
